ROADMAP TO HEAVEN PART TWO.

GOD BLESS YOU! We pray for God’s blessing on all those who read these lines. Let us begin with a Hail Mary, that God will give us the light and grace we need to do what is necessary to save our souls. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

How do I get to heaven? We must know God. We must love God, and we must serve God in the true Church. “The Lord added daily to the Church such as should be saved.” Acts 2:47. Which Church would that be? The Apostles, in the Apostle’s Creed said, “I believe in the Holy Catholic Church.” Look up the Apostles Creed online. Also search the List of Popes, which shows the Church goes back to St. Peter the head of the Apostles.

How do I get the grace to be saved? Specific means:

1) First, we ask for it. Jesus said, “Ask and you shall receive.” We must pray much. St. Alphonsus said, “He who prays shall be saved. He who prays not shall be condemned.” St. Paul of the Cross said, “We enter upon the broad way of perdition when we neglect to pray.” When we neglect to pray, we lose the grace we need to overcome temptation, and then we fall into sin. Many temptations call for much prayer, especially the rosary. Mary’s 15th promise: “Devotion to my rosary is a great sign of predestination.”

2)We must receive Jesus in the Eucharist, St. John 6:48-69; St. Matt. 26:26-28; and St. Paul 1 Cor. 10:16 and chapter 11, on the Holy Eucharist. Jesus said if we don’t receive His body and blood, we would not have life in us, 6:54-55.

3) We must be baptized. Jesus said if we are not born again of water and the Holy Ghost, we cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” That’s why St. Peter said, “Baptism saveth you also.” 1 Peter 3:21.

4) We must confess our sins. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all iniquity.” 1 John 1:9.

5) We must keep his commandments. “If thou wilt enter life, keep the commandments.” St. Matt. 19:17.

6) We must dress modestly, properly covered and not too tight. “The immodest shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven.” Gal. 5:19-21, drbo.org. WOMAN DAMNED TO HELL FOR THE SIN OF IMMODESTY: motherofgodlibrary.org/2019/12/20/.

7) We must cease from all evil talk. “Let no evil speech proceed from thy mouth.” Eph. 4:29. No “bridle on the tongue” makes our religion vain,” St. James wrote,1:26. No filthy speech. “Put away all filthy speech out of your mouth.” Col.3:8.

8) Avoid occasions of sin. Bad movies, bad internet, taverns, night clubs, sinful parties, etc. “Evil communications corrupt good manners.” 1Cor. 15:33. “Separate yourselves from these evil men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest you be involved in their sin.” Moses – Numbers 16:26. Even excessive sports can be sinful when all we think about is sports to the neglect of thinking about God. “Sporting themselves to excess,” said St. Peter: “Counting for a pleasure the delights of a day: stains and spots, sporting  themselves to excess, rioting in their feasts with you: 2 Peter 2:13.

9) Keeping the commandments. Do not take God’s Holy Name in vain; do not go to a false church to worship. Keep holy the Sabbath. No working (Numbers 15:31-36), Man stoned to death for just picking up sticks, because “He contemned the word of the Lord,” like Adam and Eve. No commercializing, (patronizing stores, restaurants, etc. unnecessarily), Nehemiah 10:31. Because when we do, we are patronizing those who make their workers work on Sunday. Honor your parents, and take care of them. No murder, no lust, no fornication nor adultery. No stealing nor false witness, (lying against thy neighbor). Do not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his goods. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the pool of fire.”  [Apocalypse (Revelation) 20:15].

10) Lastly, good spiritual reading and videos. “Attend to reading,” St. Paul told Timothy, 1Tim. 4:13. The Holy Bible, drbo.org – Douay Rheims Bible; Lives of the Saints; and Good Catechisms. Spiritual reading is a light to our souls. “Thy Word is a lamp to my feet,” Psalms 118:105. “For Thou art my lamp, O Lord, and Thou, O Lord, wilt enlighten my darkness.” 2 Kings or 2 Samuel 22:29. St. Padre Pio said, “I am horrified at the damage done to souls by their failure to read good books.” And St. Jerome said, “When we pray, we speak to God; and when we read, God speaks to us.”

Finally, be devoted to Mary. In the 2nd century, St. Ignatius of Antioch said, “A devout client of Mary shall never perish.” Here we have an early Church Father, instructed by St. John the Apostle, who says we should be devoted to Mary. Wear Mary’s Brown Scapular, which has a promise of eternal life to those who die WEARING it. IT MUST BE WORN PROPERLY TO GAIN THE PROMISE!!! She gave it to ST. Simon Stock in 1251 and said, “Whosoever dies wearing this scapular shall not suffer eternal fire.” Moreover, she told St. Dominic over 800 years ago: “One day through the rosary and scapular I will save the world.” To understand devotion to Mary, go to MotherofGodlibrary.org /2019/05, which explains how Mary is to be planted in our soul as a tree, so Jesus the fruit of life may flourish there. In order to get the fruit, Jesus Christ, you must go to the tree. St. Louis de Montfort taught, “He who wishes to have the fruit of life, which is Jesus Christ, must have the tree of life, which is Mary.”- TRUE DEVOTION TO MARY.

Finally, remember your last end. “In all thy works remember thy last end. And thou shalt never sin.” Ecclus. 7:40. Remember your last end is death, then after that your judgment, Hebrews 9:27; then, if you die in the grace of God, you will go to heaven, possibly passing through purgatory first; but if we die at enmity with God, we go to the pool of fire for all eternity. If you follow these counsels, you will live, and find yourself on the narrow road to heaven. And eventually have the happiness of seeing God for all eternity.

One final note. But let us not be deceived. Not everyone goes to heaven. How often it is said when someone dies and no longer suffering, “Well, he’s better off now.” Not if he’s lost his soul.
