THE MESSAGE OF FATIMA MUST BE BELIEVED!
The message of Fatima must be believed and obeyed. The first reason is because the Church approved it as being from God in 1930. Why do we believe the Church? Because the Church, St. Paul says, “is the pillar of ground of truth.” 1 Tim. 3:15. Like a building that is held up by the ground (foundation), and the pillars (the supports), so is the truth held up by the Church. Also, because theologians tell us that Jesus Christ has threatened us with damnation if we don’t hear the Church. “If he will not hear the Church, let him be to thee as the heathen and the publican (public sinner). St. Matthew 18:17. These cannot be saved unless they repent, and Jesus Christ puts us in a class with them if we refuse to hear the Church. This includes protestants who refuse to join the true Church, and also bad Catholics who leave the Church. If you ask Google who started the Catholic Church, it will tell you, Jesus. If you look up the Apostle’s Creed, it will tell you they said, “I believe in the holy Catholic Church.” If you look up the list of popes, you will see they go all the way back to St. Peter. Jesus’ Church will exist in all centuries because He also said, “The gates of hell shall not prevail against my Church.” St. Matthew 16:18. This is why we follow the Catholic Church, because it is the true Church, and it is the voice of Jesus Christ on earth. “He who hears you, hears Me,” Jesus said.
. Despise not prophecies.
So why do we believe what the Church has approved? Because the Scripture itself says to do so. Father Nicholas Gruner explained this passage from 1 Thess. 5:19-21: ‘’ Extinguish not the spirit. Despise not prophecies. But prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” Fr. Gruner explains. “The scripture tells us not to despise prophecies, once the Church has approved it as coming from God, and therefore, scripture tells us to hold fast to it, which means to heed it, and if we do despise it, we are extinguishing the spirit, and the Bible tells us not to do that!” The apparitions, messages, and warnings given at Fatima to the 3 young children, Lucy 10; Francisco 9; and Jacinta 7, could be called private in the beginning but remember, Scripture tells us that in the mouth of two or three witnesses, let every word stand, (Deuteronomy 19:15; Matthew 18:16); here you have three innocent children, very good children who all testified to seeing the Blessed Virgin Mary. “At first Francisco could not see her,” Fr. Gruner said, “Because Francisco was not fond of the rosary, and the Blessed Mother told Lucy to tell him to start praying his rosary. After he said about a decade, he too could see her.” So the second reason we must take Fatima seriously is because we have three witnesses testifying to the truth of these visions. Thirdly, after three months, the Blessed Mother foretold a great miracle in October. Lucy, transmitting this prophecy, caused approximately 70,000 people to show up on the 13th of October, 1917, and there was a tremendous miracle of the sun in the sky which everyone witnessed, not just two or three but all the thousands who were there and even others in the surrounding countryside! The newspaper column did not believe in the events but they showed up too, and they published the miracle in their newspaper the next day! What did the astounding miracle do? It confirmed everything which was being said by the Blessed Virgin Mary. That’s the purpose of miracles, to confirm the truth, as the scripture says: “But they going forth preached everywhere: the Lord working withal, and confirming the word with signs that followed.” St. Mark 16:20.
So in the beginning you could possibly say it was a private revelation, but it was not a private revelation in the true sense because it was a message directed to all mankind, even in the coming generations. Pope John Paul II said, “The message of Fatima is addressed to every human being.” The proper term for it could be, An approved prophetic revelation, which is what it was, and the Scripture quoted above tells us to pay attention to it, and to heed it! So the Church has approved it, 3 witnesses in the beginning attested to the truth of it, and the 70,000 people saw it confirmed by the great miracle of the sun. You can find the Miracle of the sun at Fatima, online, and see photos of the thousands who were there. The miracle of the sun is as much an historical event as the sinking of the Titanic!
Not only all these proofs which compel us to believe the message and warnings of Fatima, but also the many prophecies She foretold to the children which have come about. Again, she healed many of the sick but one man who requested she heal him was told to Lucy by the Blessed Mother was, “Let him be converted first.” His sins were the cause of his misfortunes.
These little children on a hillside in a little town in Portugal did not have radios and tv. There was no way they could know anything about future events, yet Lucy foretold with compelling accuracy future events given to her by the Blessed Mother. The Blessed Mother told them the first world war would soon end. It ended the next year. She also foretold the great light that would precede the 2nd world war, which happened in 1938. “The Great Aurora was seen over the whole of Europe and as far south as Southern Australia, Sicily, Portugal and across the Atlantic to Bermuda and Southern California. Crowds in Vienna awaiting the iminent birth of Princess Juliana’s baby cheered the aurora as a lucky omen. The immense arches of crimson light with shifting areas of green and blue, radiated from a brilliant Auroral Crown near the zenith instead of appearing as usual in parallel lines. Mary told her the 2nd world war would begin in the reign of Pope Pius XI, which it did. Mary foretold the rise of Communism; and said the Pope would have much to suffer: “If my requests are not granted, Russia will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be annihilated…I have come to warn the faithful to amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins. They must not continue to offend Our Lord who is already too much offended.” She said that war is a punishment from God for sin. We see this explained in the Fifth chapter of Judith that when the people would turn away from God, God would send war: ‘’ And there was no one that triumphed over this people, but when they departed from the worship of the Lord their God. But as often as beside their own God, they worshipped any other, they were given to spoil, and to the sword, and to reproach,” 17-18.
On July 13th, she opened up the earth, and showed them a vision of hell, demons and human souls burning and screaming in hell, and she told them. “You have seen hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. In order to save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I ask is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.” President Trump was shot in the ear on July 13th. In chapter 16 of the Book of Numbers, God opened up the earth, and the men who opposed Moses were swallowed alive into hell it says. Hell is in the center of the earth. They didn’t even die. They were SWALLOWED ALIVE INTO HELL! And this is what the children saw. Hell is real, and after seeing it, the children made very great sacrifices to save sinners. Mary told them, “Pray, pray a great deal and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell because there is no one to pray and make sacrifices for them.” What is the prayer she insisted on each month when she came? The prayer of the rosary.
The prayer of the rosary saves many souls, including our own,, joined with sacrifices. The protestants disdain the Mother of God and her rosary. Even though she predicted, “From henceforth, all generations shall call me blessed,’’ St. Luke 1:48; they nevertheless have not a good word to say about her or do anything in her honor, and insult her Son Jesus in the process. “He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me.” [Luke 10:16]. Mary said devotion to her Immaculate Heart would save souls. The early Fathers of the Church who succeeded the Apostles all believed and practiced devotion to Mary, the Mother of God. One such early Father, St. Ignatius of Antioch was taught by St. John, and St. Ignatius said, “A devout client of Mary will never perish.” So if you’re a nominal Catholic who has little or no devotion to Mary, your salvation is in jeopardy. Or if you are a protestant who disdains any devotion to the Mother of God, while pretending to love Jesus while despising his mother, your damnation is certain, if you don’t repent. St. Bonaventure said that those who neglected the service of Our Lady will be damned and perish in their sins.” Because where Mary is not welcome in a soul, Jesus does not dwell there. In the Book of Esther, the king discovering that Mardochai had discovered the plot to kill the king asked, “What honour and reward hath Mardochai received for this fidelity? His servants and ministers said to him: He hath received no reward at all….” The king then asked the wicked Aman who had just come in, “What ought to be done to the man whom the king is desirous to honour? But Aman thinking in his heart, and supposing that the king would honour no other but himself, answered: The man whom the king desireth to honour, Ought to be clothed with the king’s apparel, and to be set upon the horse that the king rideth upon, and to have the royal crown upon his head, And let the first of the king’s princes and nobles hold his horse, and going through the street of the city, proclaim before him and say: Thus shall he be honoured, whom the king hath a mind to honour. And the king said to him: Make haste and take the robe and the horse, and do as thou hast spoken to Mardochai the Jew, who sitteth before the gates of the palace. Beware thou pass over any of those things which thou hast spoken.”
Jesus our King, wishes to honor His Mother, His Queen, for her great fidelity on earth. Were it not for Mary’s consent, you protestants wouldn’t have a Saviour in the world. His blood He took from the body of Mary, so when you despise her, you despise the blood Jesus took from her to wash away your sins. Have you ever thanked her for that? Her incredible sufferings she endured throughout her life with her Son Jesus, in union with him, she did that for you and for me. Have you ever thanked her for it? Her unbelievable martyrdom watching Jesus go through the Passion, standing at his cross for three hours watching him die, for you, and for me, have you ever thanked her for that, giving up her Son that you may have salvation? ‘’ To what shall I compare thee? or to what shall I liken thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? to what shall I equal thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Sion? for great as the sea is thy destruction: who shall heal thee?’’ [Lamentations 2:13]. Daughter of Jerusalem, speaking of a woman’s distress, great as the sea. How great would your sorrow be if it was as great as a sea? This is what Mary went through with her Son Jesus to save our souls! Have you ever thanked her for it?
The Scripture says the just man sins seven times a day; ‘’ For a just man shall fall seven times and shall rise again: but the wicked shall fall down into evil.’’ Proverbs 24:16. Multiply that by 365 = 2555 in a year, times 10 years, 25,550, times 50 years = 127, 750 sins. We’re only speaking of venial sins because by a mortal sin a man drives God out of his soul, kills the life of his soul, and is not longer called just. Add to that, most people commit many mortal sins as well, breaking the commandments in a serious manner, false worship, taking God’s Holy Name in vain, violating the Sabbath Day, stealing, lying, lusting, fornicating, adultery, immodesty, profanity, gossip, detraction, calumny, greed, coveting neighbor’s goods and wife. And we think all we have to do is go to Jesus, tell him we’re sorry, and we’re forgiven. Remember, he is judging us by our sins and actions. Do our actions conform to our contrition? Would you appear before an earthly judge, even if he is merciful, after offending him so many times without a good advocate, without a good lawyer? St. Louis de Montfort speaks about this in TRUE DEVOTION TO MARY, and he says, “Do we not also need an advocate with the advocate to the Father?” And he says we do. When we go to Mary, she goes to Jesus, and He goes to His Father. St. Louis de Montfort goes on to say, ‘’To Jesus through Mary, because that’s the way He came to us, and He said, ‘As I have given you an example so do you also.”
Let us then listen to Our Lady of Fatima and pray the rosary every day, amend our lives and go to confession and Holy Communion often; make sacrifices for sinners, wear the Brown Scapular and the Miraculous Medal. Stop offending God, stop cursing, begin to dress modestly at all times, get back to Mass and the Sacraments, and good spiritual reading. St. John Bosco said, “When we pray, we speak to God. When we read, God speaks to us. We are getting very close to Our Lady of Fatima’s prophecy about the annihilation of several nations. Is not President Trump threatening to annihilate Iran? Pope John Paul II was shot on the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima, May 13th, 1981. Many of the prophecies have already been fulfilled. It is time for us to wake up and listen to Our Lady of Fatima, and do as she advised, and make reparation for our sins and those of others. Many souls are being lost. What are we doing about it?
