An Open Letter to the Clergy Who think, May We Not Hope All Souls Go To Heaven?

Dear Father X,

Peace be with you. I was at your Mass the other day where you quoted Pope Francis saying, “May we not hope all souls are saved?’’ or words to that effect. I believe you are a good priest and your sermons are generally quite good. However, I took exception to what you said in this regard, indicating that Pope Francis could possibly be right, and that the commentators who criticized him were wrong. I see your good intention, and you were quoting Our Lady of Fatima and the prayer she gave us after the rosary, “Lead all souls to heaven especially those in most need of thy mercy.” Indeed, in the last hundred years, probably millions of souls have been saved by that prayer. However, I couldn’t help thinking you were forgetting something else about what Our Lady of Fatima did, and said. On July 13th of that year, she opened up the earth and showed the children a terrifying vision of hell, souls and demons burning in the fires of hell. Then she explained to them, as if they didn’t know exactly what they had just seen, “You have seen hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. In order to save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart…Many souls go to hell because they have no one to pray and sacrifice for them.” If Pope Francis believes in Our Lady of Fatima, why is he contradicting her?

Something else to consider is the fact that popes will sometimes say things contrary to the faith, “Not walking uprightly unto the truth,” as St. Paul said of St. Peter. And St. Paul said, “I withstood him to his face.”  “11 But when Cephas was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed… 14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly unto the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas…” Gal.2:11,14. Drbo.org. Pope Innocent III said, “We would not even follow a pope if he taught something contrary to the truth, or went against the tradition of the Church.” You would agree, would you not, that not even a pope can teach contrary to the Church or contrary to the Holy Bible? What Pope Francis said flatly contradicts the Bible and the Saints.

First off, Jesus said, “Many shall seek to enter, and shall not be able.” Was Jesus a liar? And you would answer, “Of course not!” Well, if they’re not in heaven, where are they? Jesus plainly said in St. John’s Gospel that Judas was lost, and even called him a devil? “71 Jesus answered them: Have not I chosen you twelve; and one of you is a devil?”…’’ None of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture may be fulfilled. [John 17:12].

What about St. Jude? 7 “As Sodom and Gomorrha, and the neighbouring cities, in like manner, having given themselves to fornication, and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.” Where is the eternal fire? What about Core, Abiron and Dathan? “30 But if the Lord do a new thing, and the earth opening her mouth swallow them down, and all things that belong to them, and they go down alive into hell, you shall know that they have blasphemed the Lord.

31 And immediately as he had made an end of speaking, the earth broke asunder under their feet:  32 And opening her mouth, devoured them with their tents and all their substance.  33 And they went down alive into hell the ground closing upon them, and they perished from among the people.” Numbers chapter 16. Was Our Lord making small talk when he spoke of the last Judgment at the end of the world, where the sheep will be on his right, and the goats on the left?  Did you forget about the rich man Dives, who refused to feed Lazarus?

Then again, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, they shall have their portion in the pool burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” [Apocalypse (Revelation) 21:8]… 11 “And the smoke of their torments shall ascend up for ever and ever: neither have they rest day nor night, who have adored the beast, and his image, and whoever receiveth the character of his name.”

Not only the Scriptures but the saints have had visions of hell, like the children of Fatima. Sr. Josepha Menendez saw many in hell, including the souls of priests. Sr. Elena Aiello also had a vision of hell from the Blessed Mother, and Mary said to her, “See how many priestly souls…” which you can read at MotherofGodlibrary.org. At Garabandal , Spain in Mary’s second warning in 1965 she said, “Many cardinals, many bishops, and many priests are on the road to perdition, and are taking many souls with them.” Have you ever read, or listened to St. Leonard of Port Maurice’ sermon on THE LITTLE NUMBER OF THE SAVED? Or this one, SOULS IN HELL. WHAT THE SAINTS AND SCRIPTURES SAY ABOUT IT, at https://motherofgodlibrary.org/2019/04/? Not even a pope can contradict Scripture, and that’s exactly what Pope Francis has done. With all due respect Father, I think you should look into the matter a little more carefully. If no one ever went to hell, why did Jesus warn about it so often? God bless you Father. I humbly ask your blessing in return,

Sincerely in the love of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph,

Larry Wethington

P.S. There is a cartoon about these little boys talking to a nun, and they said, “Really Sister, we didn’t mean to make the girls mad. They asked us what you have to do to be an altar boy, and we said, ”First, you have to be a boy. I mean, what would you say Sister, if we asked you how to be a nun?” One reason vocations are dropping is because the clergy are letting too many women and girls serve rather than having boys do the job that is proper to them. Many boys have received their calling from serving on the altar. The Novus Ordo churches I’ve noticed have really gotten lax about servers vesting for Mass. You never see this in the traditional Masses. Do you really think it’s proper to let a woman serve on the altar in jeans, clothing that is proper to a man? If all the men showed up tomorrow in skirts and dresses, that would get your attention, wouldn’t it? Why is it that when women dress like men, we think nothing of it? Because we’ve gotten used to it. Does that make it right? What does God say? “5 A woman shall not be clothed with man’s apparel, neither shall a man use woman’s apparel: for he that doeth these things is abominable before God.” Deut. 22:5. St. Augustine said: “Wrong is wrong even if the whole world is doing it. Right is right even if nobody is doing it.”
