THE IMPORTANCE OF CONSECRATING YOUR PARISH, DIOCESE AND COUNTRY TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OFMARY – A LESSON FROM HISTORY. SAVED FROM THE RAVAGES OF THE WAR!
Sister Lucy has pointed out that it was by means of the Collegial Act of Consecration of Portugal by the Portuguese bishops that her country was saved from the ravages of war. The Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon has pointed out the same thing in remarking that by the bishops of Portugal Collegially consecrating their nation on three separate occasions, Portugal was delivered from war and persecution three different times in 1938, 1940, and 1975. Here are the Cardinal Patriarch’s words to the Eight Fatima Congress at Kevelaer, Germany, 18 September, 1977:
“I can say that it was the consecration made in Fatima to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, by the Portuguese bishops in 1931 and 1938 that defended Portugal from the common peril, then so close to its borders. * (The Spanish Civil War). It was the same consecration renewed in 1940, that saved Portugal from the horrors of the Second World War…And certainly it was the great devotion of the Portuguese people to the Virgin Mary, ratified anew by the consecration effected by the bishops of 13 May 1975, which halted the advance of Communism among us, when it had already seized control of many departments of our government, and threatened to submerge the whole of the public and private life of the Portuguese people.”
Sister Lucy points out that the only city of Spain not to suffer serious losses of life in the Spanish Civil War was the diocese of Seville, which was solemnly consecrated to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart by the local bishop. – Taken from WORLD ENSLAVEMENT OR PEACE, IT’S UP TO THE POPE, Fr. So by all means ask your parish priest to solemnly consecrate your parish to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Ask your bishop to solemnly consecrate your diocese to the Immaculate heart of Mary. And above all pray for the Pope and bishops, and petition the Pope and the bishops to solemnly Collegially Consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
SOME GRACES ARE ONLY GIVEN THROUGH MARY
The great grace of our salvation, Jesus our Saviour coming into the world, only came through Mary. The first graces of the Incarnation of the Word, Jesus blessing the house of Zachary and Elizabeth, Elizabeth and St. John both being filled with the Holy Ghost, came to them through the greeting of Mary. And later Zachary himself, St. Luke Ch. 1, verses 15 and following. And Christ’s first miracle only came through the intervention of our Blessed Mother. So St. Alphonsus said that God had given us all these signs to show that He wishes all graces to come to us through her. ‘’St. Augustine said that there are certain graces that God wants to give to us but we are not worthy. He will only give them to us through Mary.” – Fr. Nicholas Gruner. And God has told us that Russia will only be converted when the Pope, in union with all the bishops of the world, on one specific day, solemnly and publicly consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, promising to SAVE IT BY THIS MEANS. Thus, the old adage, To Jesus through Mary. This is why St. Louis de Montfort said, ”We go to Jesus through Mary because that is the way He came to us, and He said, “As I have given you an example, so do you also.” St. John 13:15. And St. Alphonsus said if we wish to have the fruit, we must have the tree: “Whoever wishes to find the fruit must find the tree. Whoever wishes to find Jesus must find Mary. “And going in, they found the Child with Mary his mother.” St. Matthew 2:11. This is the meaning of Ecclesiasticus, 24: 24-26: “ I am the mother of fair love, and of fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope. In me is all grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue. Come over to me, all ye that desire me, and be filled with my fruits.”
So insistent is God concerning this matter that, just two years after the Blessed Mother told Sister Lucy in 1929 that the moment had now come for the Pope and bishops to do this consecration, just two years later, Our Lord himself speaks to Sister Lucy with a dire warning for the Pope and bishops if they neglect to do this consecration. He said, “Make it known to my ministers, that if they follow the example of the king of France, in delaying the execution of my command, they will also follow him into misfortune.” The king of France was told by Our Lord through St. Margaret Mary to consecrate publicly that country to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The king, and his successors, ignored this request for a 100 years. Finally the king was taken prisoner and publicly executed! So much for ignoring private revelation. But Father Gruner explained that this kind of private revelation is not private revelation per se, in the sense that it’s not meant only for the recipient, but for the people at large, or in this case, for the king himself.
Now the first objection I hear is, “You don’t have to believe it, because it’s not public revelation.” Really? What about the people of Nineveh? Was it not a private revelation to Jonah? Yes? But it was meant for the people. It was a dire message. Does anyone in their right mind think that God was just joking, and that nothing would have happened if they had not heeded Jonah’s warning? So yes, when God sends a warning from heaven, we better sure enough pay attention, or, we will suffer the consequences. And they are dire. Sister Lucy said if the pope and bishops do not obtain the conversion of Russia in time, Russia will be the instrument God will use to chastise the whole world. The Blessed Mother told Sister Elena, “Russia with her secret armies will battle America…” Why? Because we have not listened to her at Fatima. Most people, including the clergy, have snubbed up their noses at her requests and warnings at Fatima.
If we wish to be saved, if we wish our families and friends to be saved, every Catholic old enough to pray needs to be praying the rosary every day. Little children should be taught to pray the rosary in every family, in every school. The reason the world is in such a mess is because so many people have given up prayer, and because we have taken the Blessed Mother out of the home. Fr. Patrick Peyton once said, “The reason the world is in such a mess, is because we have taken the Blessed Mother out of our homes. What happens when you take the mother out of the home? It soon begins to get untidy. And we have taken the Blessed Mother out of our homes.” Mary was the means by which Jesus chose to come into the world. She was the channel, St. Alphonsus said. In his book, THE GLORIES OF MARY he says, “The devil, like Holofernes, who closed up the aqueducts to the city of Bethulia, in order to overcome it, closes up devotion to Mary in souls, and whenever this channel of grace is closed up, he easily overcomes the soul.”

And if our Catholics do not come back to the devotion of the daily rosary. St. Padre Pio once said, “The rosary is the weapon with which to overcome the evils in the world today.” And Fr. Albert J. Hebert quoted St. Pio in one of his books warning: “I can give you only one piece of advice for today. Pray, and get others to pray, for the world is at the threshold of its perdition.” So, please, send this information to your pastor and bishop.
